Recruiting Through the FFA Iowa State University Agronomy Club The primary objectives of informing FFA students about agronomy at ISU are: To show that agronomy is a diverse field, with many varied opportunities worldwide To encourage students to major in agronomy To encourage students to join the ISU Agronomy Club The interactive DVD allows students to: Listen to what professors have to say about their experiences at ISU Listen to college students discuss their experiences within the Agronomy Department and at college View material from some of the introductory courses View information about worldwide opportunities within the agricultural field Observe students working with instructors in a laboratory situation Methods of conveying information about the ISU Agronomy Department and Agronomy Club include: Discussion between college and FFA students Pamphlets and brochures PowerPoint presentation Interactive DVD The Agronomy Department, Agronomy Club, and agronomy students all work together to promote the profession of agronomy and inform FFA students of opportunities within the field.
