The Fall of the House of Usher By: Edgar Allan Poe

Exposition In this part of the story this man gets a letter from his old friend that he hung out with all through their boyhood. The letter said that Usher wanted him to come see him.

Narrative Hook This is the part in the story where the narrator comes upon the house of Roderick Usher. Also when he tries up his horse to the precipitous brink of a black and lurid tarn.

Rising Action This is when the narrator goes into the house and to the room of Usher. When he walks in the room is a mess full of books and instruments on the floor. He finds out that Usher is crazy. He reads him books and plays string instruments. One day they find Madeline and they think she is dead, so they put her in a coffin and a vault.

Climax Then one day as he was reading Usher a story. Usher started to say something. Then all the sudden Madeline shows up in the door way looking like a ghost with blood on her white robes.

Falling Action Then she comes into the room and falls in to Usher, her brothers arms. Then in her violent and now final death-agonies, bore him to the floor a corpse and a victim to the terrors he had anticipated.

Resolution After this happen the visitor left as fast as he could on his horse. All he did was to look back at The Fall of House of Usher.
