In the jungle there lived a lion. He went hunting one day In the jungle there lived a lion. He went hunting one day. He saw a group of sparrows and decided to kill them.

The birds bowed in front of him and begged him to stop The birds bowed in front of him and begged him to stop. Perhaps, because they were too small, the lion decided to be nice and left them alone.

The sparrows said, “You behaved very well with us The sparrows said, “You behaved very well with us. We will never forget, we are your friends now, one day we will help you.

The lion laughed, “Oh forget it,” he said, “how can you be nice to me and help me?”

One day as the lion was walking around the forest some hunters caught him in a net. He struggled a lot yet he could not set himself free.

The net got tighter around him and he was trapped The net got tighter around him and he was trapped. The hunters left him like that. They were planning to come back with a cage to carry him back and to sell him to a zoo.

The hungry and angry lion roared.

The sparrows heard him roar. They came to see what had happened to him The sparrows heard him roar. They came to see what had happened to him. When they saw the lion they felt sorry for him.

They said, “We are your friends, we will help you They said, “We are your friends, we will help you.” They pecked at the net and destroyed it. Soon the lion was free!

The lion and the sparrows of that jungle are friends even today.

They are very nice to each other They are very nice to each other. They do look strange talking to each other.
