WORSHIP OPENS THE DOORS

Mark 1:32-35 (NIV) That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon- possessed. The whole town gathered at the door, and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out

many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was. Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

Matthew 6:6-8; (NIV) …When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep

on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him… When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are

fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Psalm 34 (NIV) When David pretended to be insane before Abimelech... 4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears…

8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. 9 Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.

Psalm 34:8-9 (The Message) Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and seehow good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness.

Psalm 100:5 (NIV) For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

1 Peter 2:3 (NIV) …now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

Proverbs 1:7 (NIV) the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
