Building Character: Noah Genesis 6:1-9 – “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,

Building Character: Noah and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”

Building Character: Noah Romans 5:12 – “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

Building Character: Noah Hebrews 11:7 – “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house, by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of righteousness which is by faith.”

Building Character: Noah I. The Grounds of Noah’s Faith Noah went against all odds and took God at His Word Romans 10:17 – “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Building Character: Noah II. The Sphere of Noah’s Faith II Corinthians 5:7 – “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the evidence of things not seen” God alone was the object of his faith

Building Character: Noah III. The Character of Noah’s Faith Noah had a realistic faith Noah believed in God’s promises Noah believed in God’s threatenings

Building Character: Noah IV. The Evidence of Noah’s Faith “He prepared an ark” Philippians 2:12 – “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”

Building Character: Noah V. The Purpose of Noah’s Faith “To the saving of his house” Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Plead to God for your family

Building Character: Noah VI. The Witness of Noah’s Faith His righteous life condemned the world II Peter 2:5 – “Preacher of righteousness”

Building Character: Noah VII. The Reward of Noah’s Faith “Heir of righteousness which is by faith” Faith in God always brings results!
