The Haunted History of Warren Easton High School

COLD CASE: 194019491965 Before being dubbed “supersonic” this legendary athlete was a student at Warren Easton High School. Surprisingly, this “blockbuster” ballplayer failed to make the Fighting Eagles football team during his sophomore year in high school. Born in Honduras, this star-athlete was sent to live in New Orleans after tragedy struck and he was orphaned. Dropping out of high-school to work in an iron foundry, he eventually returned to W.E. and in his senior year made the football team. This would ultimately earn him a scholarship to college and fame in the world of professional sports. Eventually, this Easton alumni was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.

COLD CASE: 194519572013 Music continues to haunt these halls. Known today as the most famous jazz clarinetists of all time, this musician was playing clubs on Bourbon Street by the age of 12. An angry teacher here at Warren Easton helped to propel him to glory. Dropping out in his senior year to work as a professional musician, this alum earned his diploma and ring as an honorary graduate. Although he worked on the “champagne music” show, this Easton alum said he got his experience from, “…Warren Easton and the conservatory of Bourbon Street.” Hurricane Katrina resulted in him losing most of his property – eventually impacting his health and ability to play. A 2013 tribute concert was performed just downstairs with other legendary Jazz alumni of Easton. 2016, this Easton alum continues to be a major force in the jazz music scene to this day – even from beyond the grave.

COLD CASE: 195519631967 This “assassin” is not an Easton graduate, but he did attend Warren Easton prior to moving to Texas. Eventually, this former military soldier and deranged individual would take up a position in the “book depository” and assassinate the President of the United States. Killed by another assassin days later; this case brings together several Easton alumni in a sordid case of murder, mayhem, and money – galvanizing the nation. Conspiracies abound, there are still several theories to what happened on the “grassy knoll” that November day in Dallas, TX. Another “connected” Easton alum was eventually prosecuted by a former classmate and found not-guilty in the murderous enterprise that fundamentally changed our nation and way of living.

Time to Investigate

COLD CASE: 198619972013 Before becoming a multi-millionaire mogul this Easton alumni was born and raised in the Calliope. Playing basketball as a captain and point guard at Easton and eventually going on to attend school at the home of the “black panthers”. Without limits, this entertainer has used his family and investments to help keep his status as one of the highest paid entertainers out there. He’s been nominated for and won an AMA in the year Mr. J graduated high school. Southern hip-hop music wouldn’t be the same without this Easton alumni on the scene.
