THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - OVER 1.2 MILLION PEOPLE DIE EACH YEAR ON THE WORLD’S ROADS - 20-50 MILLION SUFFER NON-FATAL INJURIES - EVERY 30 SECONDS A PERSON IS KILLED IN A ROAD CRASH - THAT’S MORE THAN 3200 PEOPLE PER DAY - SEPTEMBER 11TH

U.K STATISTICS SCOTTISH STATISTICS - THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 28,572 ROAD CASUALTIES REPORTED IN 2008, (7% FEWER THAN 2007). 2,538 FATALITIES ,(DOWN 14% FROM 2007) SCOTTISH STATISTICS 272 FATALITIES, 2.3% DOWN FROM 2007 2,535 SERIOUSLY INJURED, 5.6% DOWN FRON 2007 12,756 SLIGHTLY INJURED, 6% DOWN FROM 2007
