SKIPPING BREAKFAST BEFORE A MORNING WORK OUT WILL HELP YOU BURN EXTRA FAT.

FICTION By not eating before working out, your muscles will use all of your stored energy FAST! You will be without the energy to complete your workout. Your intensity levels will stink! Who wants to workout with no energy? Furthermore, once you do eat, you may over-consume due to feeling hungry.

WHEN WORKING OUT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS DRINK A SPORTS DRINK LIKE GATORADE OR POWERADE.

FICTION Water is the best way to hydrate. BUT!!!!!!! If you are sweating like crazy you are probably losing salt (electrolytes) so grabbing a sports drink can be a good thing.

ENERGY DRINKS DON’T REALLY GIVE YOU ENERGY.

fact “Energy” drinks are stimulants. They make your heart beat faster This increases blood flow and makes you feel more awake because your brain is getting more oxygen… for a while. Energy comes from calories.

YOU USUALLY EAT MORE WHEN EATING OUT THAN WHEN EATING AT HOME.

fact Restaurants have larger portions We feel like we need to finish our plates You don’t know what you are eating, so you are more likely to eat something you normally wouldn’t Usually restaurants add salt, fat and sugar because it’s soooooo tasty!

A CAN OF SODA CONTAINS 7.5 TEASPOONS OF SUGAR.

PEOPLE THAT EAT FAST ARE SHOWN TO EAT LESS AT MEALS.

FICTION They say it takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to signal whether or not it’s full Eating quickly may give your body more calories than it needed! Slow down!

WHEN OUR BODIES NEED WATER WE FEEL THIRSTY.

FICTION We need water long before we feel thirsty. Thirst can actually be a sign of dehydration. Hydration starts DAYS before athletic events!

YOU SHOULDN’T EAT AFTER 7 PM -YOU WILL GAIN WEIGHT.

FICTION Your body uses and digests food no matter what time of day. The REAL issue is are you eating junk food and more calories than you actually need?
