People of the American Revolution

Who am I? I sent letters to my husband in the Continental Congress. I told him to “remember the ladies” and I am committed to voting rights for women and African Americans. ABIGAIL ADAMS

Who am I? I am an African American slave who acted as a spy for the colonies. I acted as an orderly and guide to the British so I could bring back information to General Lafayette. JAMES ARMISTEAD

Who am I? I am a representative of Massachusetts at the Continental Congress. I am the leader of the Sons of Liberty and organized protests against British policies. SAM ADAMS

Who am I? I defended the British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre. I am a representative of Massachusetts at the Continental Congress. I eventually become the second president of the United States. JOHN ADAMS
