The One Billion Coalition (1BC) A commitment to support one billion people to become more resilient in the face of shocks and adversity by 2025. Which demonstrates Red Cross Red Crescent’s contribution to global resilience building, And the power of collective partnerships: public and private partners, academics, local actors and individuals to scale-up collective outcomes from local to global.

Resilience 1BC and Global Agendas: Be it through first aid, disaster risk reduction and response, health care services, social inclusion, youth and volunteer development… The Red Cross has a significant global contribution to resilience which sits at the core of global policy agendas. Resilience SDGs (Development) Paris (Climate) WHS (Humanitarian) Sendai (DRR) Our common commitment in major Policy Discussion: SDGs, Sendai Framework on DRR/AMCDRR, Paris Agreement on Climate Change, World Humanitarian Forum and… the RCRC International Conference Through disaster, health, social mobilisation and education, our collective positioning area is under the banner of resilience, with our daily commitment to enable people to withstand shock and not to be left behind.

The 1BC in SE Asia so far 5,5 Million people reached in disaster risk reduction 1,4 Million people reached in first aid 2 NS formally adopted or launched the 1BC 7 Regional Partners signed a MoU that refers to the 1BC: Prudence Foundation, Air Asia, Grab, Asian Football Confederation, Asia Disaster Preparedness Centre, Association of Pacific Rims Universities, INCEIF One regional Initiative as subset of the 1BC: Volunteers on Wheels 10 National Societies have signed the #1BC Pledge: Pakistan RC, The Sri Lanka RC, New Zealand RC, Maldivian RC, Singapore RC, The Republic of Korea National RC, Bangladesh RC, Japanese RC, Indian RC, Indonesia RC. 10 National Societies have formally adopted or launched the #1BC: Pakistan, New-Zealand, Bangladesh, Cook Islands, Mongolia, Singapore, South Korea, DPRK, Solomon Islands, Indonesian RC Interested NS to further engage based on clear model: Afghanistan RC, Australian RC 7 Regional partners: ADPC, Asia Football Confederation, Prudence Foundation, Grab, Association of Pacific Rims Universities, INCEIF/Islamic Finance, China RC Foundation,
