K - 5th grade Basic and advanced curriculum 24 to 30 students Audience

Objective Students are able to use recycled materials to create three dimensional sculptures of animals.

Main PowerPoint, Prezi, Digital Library, Ecological Footprint Recycled materials (students may bring in their own recycled materials if they would like) Hot glue and duct tape Paint and paintbrushes Sketching pencils Materials

Procedure

Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Final Week Introduce Main PowerPoint and Prezi. Then do a mock demonstration of Ecological Footprint. Introduce Ecological Footprint assignment. Have students to continue to work on sculptures. Check in on each student and hear game plan. Set up a mini art show where all students can see each others animal sculptures. Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Final Week Have students start working on projects. Have each of them pick on animal and do a sketch. Start finding materials. Have students add the final details to sculptures and turn them in. Have them also turn in Ecological Footprint Assignment.
