Presentation transcript:

The most overlooked and critical part of the drive-axle and steering assembly of your car is the wheel bearing system.

The wheels of your car are attached to a hub and inside the hub set of wheel bearing are immensely lubricated.

These lubricated wheel bearings allow the tires and wheels to spin freely without building the too much heat.

They are eventually losing their lubricity, wear out and need replacement. If they break completely, then it can create an unsafe driving situation.

Here are the symptoms help you to recognize the damaged wheel bearing of your car easily.

The CV joints, struts and shocks, inflated tires and the misaligned suspension can lead to abnormal tire wear.

The worn out wheel bearings also cause the uneven tire wear. If the left tire of your is worn, then it can lead to the left wheel bearing.

Wheel bearings are generally replaced together means if the problem arises at one side in your car, you need to replace the wheel bearing on the same axle.

In many cases, the wheel bearing problem can be different or minor, but you don't need to take any types of risk with the problems.

Roaring noises

It's very difficult to recognize the damaged wheel bearing of your car because it does not happen very often, but wear out quickly.

One common symptoms of a worn out wheel bearings are the loud noises that come from the tire area of your car.

When the excess heat has built up inside the wheel bearing of your car can lose its lubricity and create a loud roaring noise.

Due to the failed wheel bearing, you heard the metal to metal sound in your car. That will come from one specific wheel and not both sides at the same time.

Vibration in steering

Another mechanical problem in the drive and steering assembly are the worn out or damaged wheel bearing.

The tire balance issues in your car are typically experience at the higher speeds and cause a vibration in the steering wheel.

The worn out wheel bearing will be noticed at slower speeds and progressively get worse when the car accelerates

Hence, the damaged wheel bearing of your car can lead to severe vibrations in the steering wheel.

Loose and restrict wheel

The worn out wheel bearing of your car can eventually create looseness in the wheel as well as in the tires.

In another way, the damaged wheel bearing can put adverse impact on the life of the tires and cause significant wear and tear to the tire units.

Sometimes, the wheels can even get separated from the car and cause the complete lack of control with a steering wheel.

When you find the loose wheel and restricted wheel movement issues in your car, raise the car and pull on the steering wheel to check the problem.

Conclusion

Apart from the above if you notice that your car face hard time for rolling after applying the clutch will also cause due to the damaged wheel bearing.

If you find out any of the above symptoms in your car due to the worn out or damaged wheel bearing, contact a mechanic to diagnose the problem.

THANK YOU!
