Demographic Characteristics and Sexual Risk Profiles of Bisexual Men Who Use The Internet To Seek Sex With Other Men Rusty Souleymanov, David J. Brennan, Nathan Lachowsky, Sophia Fantus, Andre Ceranto Internet sex seeking may be associated with HIV transmission among MSM. Little is known about bisexual-identified MSM who use Internet to seek sex with other men. This study examined: demographic, testing, and behavioural differences between bisexual and other-identified MSM factors associated with condom use/non-use during the most recent anal intercourse for bisexual men.

Self-Reported HIV Status * HIV-positive (OR = 0.23; 95%CI: 0.18-0.43). Self-Reported HIV Status * RESULTS Bisexual men were less likely than other MSM: To identify South-East/East Asian To live in Toronto To have a bachelors degree To have received sexual health information online To have recently tested for STIs. Bisexual men were more likely (compared to other MSM) to report condom-use during their last male anal sex.

* Websites & Mobile Apps Among bisexual men only (n = 309), a significant predictor of condom use at last male anal sex was substance use (OR=0.50, 95%CI:0.29-0.88), so that bisexual men who used substances versus not were less likely to use condoms. CONCLUSIONS: Researchers should pay attention to the differences in these sexual health risk profiles of bisexual men who use the Internet to seek sex with other men.
