The percent of non-Internet users that are older than 65 49%

The percent of adults without HS diploma who are offline 41%

The percent of adults in households making less than $30,000 a year who don’t use the Internet. 25%

The percent of offline people surveyed who said that the Internet is not relevant to them. 34%

The percent cited problems with using technology 32%

The percent of nonuser cited concerns about the expense of owing a computer or paying for Internet connection. 19%

Representing Data graphically There are several ways to represent data graphically. We are going to study 6 ways.

Histogram: a graph that displays the data by using contiguous vertical bars (unless the frequency of a class is 0) of various heights to represent the frequencies of the classes.

Frequency Polygon: a graph that displays the data by using lines that connect points plotted for the frequencies at the midpoints of the classes. The frequencies are represented by the heights of the points

Ogive: a graph that represents the cumulative frequencies for the classes in a frequency distribution

Pareto Chart: a chart that is used to represent a frequency distribution for a categorical variable, and the frequencies are displayed by the heights of vertical bars, which are arranged in order from highest to lowest

Some fancy variations!

Time series graph: graph representing data that occurs over a specific period of time

Pie Graph: A circle graph that is divided into sections or wedges according to the percentage of frequencies in each category of the distribution

Stem and leaf plot: A data plot that uses part of the data value as the stem and part of the data value as the leaf to form groups or classes
