Introduction

The Bible is of such nature that it rises above all other literature produced by man. No other book can compare with its depth of meaning, clarity of purpose, and uniqueness of design.

There is something about its content and style that sets it apart from other books. Most people reading the Bible for the first time are struck with the thought, This book is not like other books, its different from anything I have ever read.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Many times the Bible speaks of the scriptures being what God: Gave Said Spake

The Bibles: Unity Historical and geographical accuracy Prophetic nature Scientific foreknowledge Show beyond a doubt, it could only come by Divine guidance!

40 different writers! From different places and times in history! Their writings all blend together in amazing harmony! This can be said of no other book!

It was written over a period of about 1500 years! It covers the historical span from creation to the coming of the kingdom of Christ, His church. It foretold Gods judgment on Rome, in the book of Revelation. And it tells us of Christs return for His kingdom, which He will deliver up to the Father.

It was not intended to be a book of mystery with hidden codes to be deciphered! It was not given to be a curiosity! It reveals the greatest of mysteries, Gods scheme of redemption! Paul said: Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ (Ephesians 3:4).

You have to become a code breaker! That you need further revelation from God! To ask your Pastor! Feel what's right in your heart!

It is authoritative and contains the ultimate standards by which man is to live! We will be judged by its words! And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works (Revelation 20:12).

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). Study – Spoudazo; To make every effort to do ones best, to be eager. Shew – paristano; To stand near or before. Approved – dokimos; Tried as metals by fire and thus purified. Workman – ergates; A spiritual workman or laborer.

Words have meaning! They are the vehicles on which thoughts travel! One word can change the whole meaning of a passage! You may not be a mathematician, or a good writer, but you should do your best to improve your reading and vocabulary! Your soul is dependent upon what you read!
