老鼠 Rat First lucky animal of chinese zodiac Adaptable and popular with others Clever and adorable Thoughtful and curious Smart and wealthy Lack of concentration/stability Refuse to be influence Compatibility w/ Ox,Dragon, and Monkey Avoid: Rooster, Horse, and Rabbit Reason why rat was first, it was because back then the emperor in heaven ordered the animals would be desginated to be in the 12 month sign. The first 12 to arrive will be selected. at the time the cat and rat were good friends. The cat asked the rat to wake him up early because he wakes up late. The next day, the rat got excited and forgot about his promise to the cat and so when the rat got to the gathering. he met with the tiger,ox, horse and other animals who were faster than him. in order for the rat to not be behind. He went on top of the ox’s head and promise him to sing for him. in the end the ox and the rat were first and the ox was excited to be the first sign of the years, but unfortunately the rat slid right in front and became the first sign of the year.
