Story of six thinking hats - A new house United colours in Europe ZŠ Vidče (the Czech Republic) February 2015

A new house (boys from the 6th grade) Unce upon the time one big family lived in a small house. There lived four children with their parents in this house. Children were often very angry and their mum and dad were very sad, because they had so small house.

One day mum and dad were tired and they wanted to relax One day mum and dad were tired and they wanted to relax. They asked their children to go to the attic where they could play some games, because it was raining out. Children went up and they found an old box at the attic and because they were curious, they opened this box.

There were six colourful hats - blue, yellow, green, white, black and red hat. Boys took the blue and the green hat, girls took the red and the yellow hats. When they put them on the head, they got an idea immediatly. They will build a bigger, better house for their family. Parents liked this idea and dad started to build the house next morning very early. But after a while a strange man wearing black clothes and a black hat appeared there. He started to speak about problems building a house. Dad started to hesitate. Build a new house or not to build it? He came back and explained children that it would be better to stay in their old house.

Dad was annoyed and he did not speak with anybody Dad was annoyed and he did not speak with anybody. His son who was wearing the green hat got an idea. He went to the town and when he appeared back at home a lady in white dress accompanied him. This lady worked at the office in the town. She was very clever and she answered all the questions concerning building a new house.

Daughter with a red hat started to smile Daughter with a red hat started to smile. She hugged her dad and kissed him. After a while dad felt better. Now the idea of a new house did not seem to be so wrong and he started to believe that they could realize their dream. Second daughter with a yellow hat was optimistic too. She encouraged her parents and she promised to help.

And because they all helped with their new house, they could move to their new home very early. They lived happily for many years there.
