SEMINAR 1. Title : Non-volatile memory device and application 2. Speaker : Sanghun Jeon at Korea University 3. Time : 16:00~17:00 4. Place :: e+ Lecture Hall (room 83188), 2nd Research Building, Sungkyunkwan University 5. Summary : This seminar aims to present various non-volatile memory device and applications. This lecture will be started from explanation regarding the basic function, the core structure, the operation principle of non-volatile memory devices and further deal with overview of emerging nonvolatile memory technologies. Finally, nonvolatile logic-in-memory architecture will be discussed. 6 Short Biography He is an associate professor in the Department of Display and Semiconductor Physics, Korea University, Sejong, Korea. From 2003 to 2013, he was with Semiconductor R&D Center of Samsung Electronics Corporation and Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology where he was a part of 3 generation NAND flash memory research project with a revolutionary device architecture such as charge trap flash memory devices, CMOS image sensor with amorphous oxide TFT, high performance photo-sensor array for interactive display, 3D device for high density memory devices and a project leader of Haptic Devices. He has published over 100 papers in the field of CMOS gate stack, NAND Flash, DRAM memory device, nano-electronics, oxide thin film transistor, photo-sensor, interactive display and organic devices. He has over 170 patents filed /published /pending. Dr. Jeon was a recipient of Young Researcher Award at International Conference on Solid State Device Materials, Nagoya, Japan, in 2002. He also received Best Paper Award with Graduation Honor from his Ph.D. school (Gwangju Institute of Science Technology) in 2003.While at Samsung, he received 3 Research Innovation Awards, Samsung Infinite Quest Award, Samsung Best Paper Award (Silver Award), and Samsung Paper Champion Award (the 1st prize among 1500 employees and 800 PhDs in SAIT, 2013).
