A tornado takes Dorothy from her home… Dorothy and Toto land in Munchkin Land Their house lands on the Wicked Witch of the East, and Dorothy is left wearing the ruby slippers. The Wicked Witch of the West wants the ruby slippers back but Dorothy keeps the slippers Dorothy needs to get to OZ to get back home.

The munchkins tell her to “follow the yellow brick road” Along the way Dorothy meets many new friends that help her get to Oz. Does she get back home to Kansans?

Theme There’s no place like home. Once Dorothy is away from home she realizes how much she missed her home. She said “Please help me get home”. She was willing to walk all the way from Munchkin Land to Oz. Dorothy fought the witch to get the broomstick to give to Oz, so he would help her get home.
