Organization Levels of Life Atoms to Organisms copyright cmassengale

Cell Differentiation We all start out as an embryo. Composed of stem cells that have the potential to become any cell in the body. This depends on internal and external signals In the body. Our body retains some stem cells throughout our life in order to replenish and repair damaged and dead cells.

Nonliving Levels ATOMS  MOLECULES  ORGANELLES copyright cmassengale

Tissues are similar cells that come together to perform a function Cells come together to form different Types of tissues Tissues are similar cells that come together to perform a function

More Living Levels Different tissues working together ORGAN SYSTEMS ORGANS ORGANISM   Different tissues working together Different organs working together

System Several organs and tissues work together to carry out a particular set of functions in a co-ordinated way Human : digestive, respiratory, excretory, circulatory and reproductive systems Plant : root and shoot systems copyright cmassengale

Examples of systems : Digestive System Respiratory System Human Body Systems Examples of systems : Digestive System Respiratory System Circulatory System Nervous System Reproductive System copyright cmassengale
