Presentation transcript:

QUALITY Lakewood Medical Office, Colorado Imaging and flu clinic staff members team up to increase mammography screening rates Flu shots bring thousands of KP Colorado health plan members to facilities every year—and each visit is an opportunity to see if the member’s screenings are up to date. At the Lakewood Medical Office, the Medical Imaging UBT worked with its flu clinic colleagues so that if a woman who came in a for a flu shot was due for a mammogram, it would be called to her attention. RESULTS In just one month, 40 health plan members who came in for a flu shot were directed to Medical Imaging for mammograms—and 60 percent of those patients were seen the same day. For more, visit LMPartnership.org and type flu shot and cancer in the search box.
