Theatres in Stavropol
The first attempt to establish a theatre in Stavropol dates to 1830, but a full-fledged theatre owned by I. Ganilovsky appeared only in 1842 and became fully functional in 1845. It staged plays, dramas, tragedies, vaudevilles, comedies, musical comedies and operas. A theatre orchestra was formed.
