The Cronicles of Narnia

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe… …is where the magic begins. It tells the story of how four children, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, are sent to live in the country with a nutty professor, Digory Kirke, during World War II. They enter in the World of Narnia while they are at Digory’s house.

Before… Digory left Narnia, Aslan, the Great Lion, told him to bury the rings. He buried them and a gigantic tree grew in his garden. When Digory moved house, the tree was cut down and made into a big, lovely wardrobe and put in an empty room in his new masion.

In Narnia … …hours correspond to very little time in our world. The children meet the first of many characters. They live their adventure in a story of Good versus Evil, with Aslan, a wild Lion, and Jadis, a Witch. They learn about dishonesty, sacrifice and love to win and save Narnia. At the end, they become Kings and Queens of this remarkable land.

The children… …reign over Narnia and the inhabitants live in peace and harmony. When they go back through the wardrobe, they find themselves children again, in the same moment in time they left.

The Last Battle The book tells the story of Shift, an ugly ape, and Puzzle, a stupid donkey. One day they find the skin of a lion in the river and Shift uses it to make a costume for Puzzle to wear. Puzzle pretends that he is Aslan. Shift wants to be rich by selling the inhabitants of Narnia.

Tirian, the current King, realizes there is something wrong because he had heard many fantastic stories about Aslan. The King prays for help and Jill Pole and Eustace Pevensie, two former heroes, appear. Together they put up a small fight. Then the real Aslan shows up just in time but he destroys the land and he leads the inhabitants into his own country.

But… …the children felt a jolt upon entering the real Narnia. Aslan told them they had a train accident in the real world and Lucy, Edmund, Peter, Digory, Polly, Jill and Eustace were killed. But their lives were just beginning in Aslan’s Country. All who were saved were now free to live happily in the true world of Narnia.
