Grading Policy Students are expected to complete all assignments to the best of their ability. Students will be graded according to the following scale: 90-100=A 80-89=B 70-79=C 60-69=D 59 or below = F

Homework Students are expected to read for thirty minutes each day as homework and write a one paragraph response to their reading. Homework is collected each Friday. Students are expected to document three days of reading with a written response.

Classwork Students are given work to complete daily in class. Journal Grammar Cornell Notes

Standards All assignments given are in accordance with the California State Standards for English Language Arts. The standards can be reviewed at the following website: http://www.cde.ca.gov/be/st/ss/index.asp

Projects Quarterly projects will be completed by each student. These projects consist of writing assignments and presentations. E.g. Autobiographical Narrative, Biographical Narrative, Research Paper, Persuasive Essay
