Purpose of Trip To expose students to the US history covered in Social Studies and English. To bonding as a grade 7 class. Students are not grouped by teams. To provide a growth experience for students who haven’t traveled on their own. We are not grouping the students by team in room assignments or in chaperone groups. The students get to bond as a class rather than as a team. Some students have never traveled on their own before. This is a growing experience for the student to be independent and responsible for him/herself on a trip away from family

TRIP COST Each student is $549 Students should bring about $40 in spending money

College Credit Certificate Can Also Be Earned!! If your child sells $100 in magazine orders, they will receive a certificate for $1000 off tuition at over 350 colleges, many of which are in the North East If your child sells $250 in magazine orders, they will receive a certificate for $2500 off tuition at these same colleges. Many students last year were able to earn these credits as well as money toward their trips to DC. For more information visit tuitionrewards.com/GAO

RoomMATES Cross-teaming allows students be with their friends. Four students are in each room. Students choose their roommates in the fall by filling out a roommate card. By signing the card, they agree to room with those listed on the card.
