First Case In Canada Linked To Domestic Pork In Decades

Interesting facts Cook all fresh pork, pork products and meat from wild animals to where all the meats reaches 160° F. The meat should turn from pink to gray. Touching ones face, mouth, while handling contaminated raw meat can lead to infections Larvae  about 1500 from each female worm—travel through the circulatory system to the heart, then through the blood vessels leading to striated muscle  Most larvae that cannot find suitable locations in striated muscle will die.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW? 1) what are the parasitic roundworms that cause trichinosis called? 2) what type of animals can cause trichinosis? 3) Name at least two symptoms of Trichinosis. 4) What is one way to avoid it?
