New Orleans Trip By Stephen
DAY UNO I am going on a vacation to New Orleans. 1,081 miles, 17 hours and 11 minutes. Its going to take me 4 tanks of gas to get there. I will have 199 miles left until I fill it up again. It will cost me $176.00 for gas. I am going to depart at 3 am in the morning in Howell, Mi, and arrive in New Orleans at around 9 to 11 pm adding stops.
DAY UNO (CONTINUED) The hotel I am staying at is the Hotel Monteleone New Orleans. I will check in at about 9 or 11 in the morning when I arrive. The cost for a room each night is $134.00, and total for 3 night its $402.00.
DAY DOS I will eat food at Mr. B’s Bistro right across the street from the hotel, once there I will order Pasta Jambalaya which is $15.00. 15.00*1.06=15.90(with tax)*1.20=19.08 I will then explore the French Quarter. After looking around I will then walk up to Woldenberg Park which borders the Mississippi River. For dinner because it was so good I will return to Mr. B’s Bistro and order Panko Crusted Jumbo Shrimp which costs $9.50 (9.50*1.06 with tax*1.20=11.76)
DAY TRES For day three I would like to visit Bourbon Street which happens to be right around the corner from my hotel. Once there I will probably just explore around, not planning to buy anything from that area. For Lunch I will eat at the Acme Oyster House which is also very close to my hotel, I ordered a fried shrimp platter which costs $15.99 and with a side of French Fries at $1.99 (15.99+1.99*1.06 with tax*1.20= 18.52) For Dinner I will Eat at the Palace Café and order barbecued shrimp at a cost of $5.99 ($5.99*1.06 with tax*1.20=8.25)
DAY QUATRO I will check out of my hotel and begin my departure at 5 am and arrive back in Howell, MI at around 9 or 10 pm. I have 199 left in my tank. It will take me 4 tanks of gas to return back home, as it did to get to New Orleans. Total for gas will be $352.00. Total for food and the hotel comes to $459.53 and together my total expenses are 811.53.
