Conservation Technical Assistance CTA is the heart of what NRCS does. Conservationists provide free technical expertise and conservation planning for farmers, ranchers and forest landowners to make improvements to their land. Staff in field offices located close by will work one-on-one with you to address a wide range of practices, from making your irrigation system more efficient, mitigating erosion to improving your pastureland. Your conservation plan will serve as a springboard for participating in financial assistance programs available through the Farm Bill.
