A Pumpkin Carving Contest By Maggie

Yesterday, I won a 3rd place prize in a pumpkin carving contest Yesterday, I won a 3rd place prize in a pumpkin carving contest! I’m very happy to have won 3rd place prize because I get a white ribbon I also got a tractor-trailer filled with pumpkin’s and it is five days before Halloween! It covers my entire front lawn!!!! In this story you will learn how I get rid of the pumpkins! So go to the next page and I’ll tell you all about it.

When I got home yesterday the pumpkins were already on my front lawn When I got home yesterday the pumpkins were already on my front lawn! I couldn’t believe my eyes my grass is suppose to be green… NOT ORANGE! My mom was kind of mad that she couldn’t see her grass. What was I suppose to do with them carve them all and keep them until next year?!? I came inside laid on my bed and thought what to do with them. Maybe I can mail them to all my relatives. No they don’t need them. I GOT IT! I can give them to people who can’t afford pumpkins this year. How will I get the word out?

Buy Pumpkins HERE To get the word out I can go and make signs and hang them out all over Birmingham. I went to my room and made five different signs and then asked my mom if I could copy them with the copier. She said anything to get the pumpkins off her lawn. I copied them and asked if I could walk up to the stores by my house and paste them up… Before I knew it more then twenty people were picking up pumpkins. By the end of the day there were two left and that is the right amount of pumpkins for me!
