FLOWCYTOMETRY

What Is Flowcytometry? Flow→ Fluid Cyto→ Cell Metry→ Measurement

It allows simultaneous multi-parameter analysis of single cells - Cell Size - Granularity - Cell Surface and Intracellular Molecules - Cell Proliferation & Apoptosis - DNA Analysis

How Does Flowcytometry Work? - Fluidics - Optics - Electronics

Fluidics When the stained cell sample in suspension buffer is run through the cytometer, the tiny “stream” of fluid takes the cells past the laser light one cell at a time.

Optics Lasers producing light at specific wavelength Scatter

Forward Scatter = Size of The Particle
