The flesh is a way to walk The flesh works against the spirit. The flesh encourages self effort. The flesh seeks identity and purpose. We can choose to put confidence in the flesh.

LEARNING TO BE YOURSELF Paul experience Phil. 3:4 though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: Phil. 3:5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; Phil. 3:6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless.

LEARNING TO BE YOURSELF  2Pet. 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.   Gal. 3:3 Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?

LEARNING TO BE YOURSELF Mt 5:20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.   When we walk after the flesh we are not being our true selves!! Eph. 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Learn to be your True Self created in Christ.
