Plate Boundary Foldable Fold hot dog style Fold in ½ 2 times to create 4 creases Cut along creases to make 4 flaps Label 4 flaps: Divergent Boundary Convergent Boundary (Continental Collision) Transform Boundary Convergent Boundary (Subduction)

Divergent Boundary (Divide) Plates pulling apart. New land formed when magma is forced up toward the surface.

Convergent Boundary –Continental Collision Two plates collide and push up to form mountain ranges.

Transform Boundary (Slide) Where two plates slide past each other causing earthquakes. Can be moving in same or different directions.

Convergent Boundary - Subduction Where oceanic and continental plates collide. Denser Oceanic plates slide under less dense continental plates. Friction between plates causes rock to melt leading to volcanic activity.
