The raw materials: how are they harvested/made? The production process: how is the product made? Transport and distribution: you need to consider what, how, where and the cost Uses: what are the intended uses of the product? How will it be used by the client or customer? Recycling: how can the product be recycled? Care and maintenance: what is needed, how much and is it environmentally friendly? Disposal: the waste from manufacturing or the product itself. Ask yourself the question is it recyclable or biodegradable?

Task Work individually or in pairs Produce a life cycle analysis for one of the following items greetings card / promotional item / CD insert / junk mail Think about all of the stages and try to answer each bullet point. To be completed in today's lesson.
