Joint Regional Operational Programme Czech Republic

The resulting programming document of the CR, which responded to the European Commission recommendation to submit a single regionally oriented operational programme for the programming period 2004 – 2006, and which enables the cohesion regions to draw financial assistance from the Structural Funds. Abbreviation: SF share: Allocation: € 454.33 mil. JROP 31%

Objectives : To increase the prosperity of regions by development of SMEs and by creating new job opportunities To improve regional transport and information infrastructure while respecting environmental protection to improve the living conditions of inhabitants, minorities, to increase their participation in life-long learning and to integrate socially excluded groups into the community and the labour market To increase the share of tourism in the economic prosperity of the regions, to increase direct investment into tourism and to create new job opportunities

To improve the quality of tourism services, Aims of measures supporting tourism : To improve the quality of tourism services, To ensure services for tourism entrepreneurs and to enhance cooperation within the sector, To promote the Czech Republic as a part of the European tourist and spa destination, To create new tourism attractions, products and firms in the regions, incl. rural tourism Active use of the historical, cultural and natural heritage of regions for tourism, incl. the use of traditions, mainly in rural areas Improving the standard of living of the local inhabitants.

Definition of the call for proposals. Selection and appraisal: Definition of the call for proposals. Publication in important information media. The applicant (final beneficiary) submits their project to the MRD – central office for tourism. The Tourism Dept. carries out an administrative check (formal and eligibility checks). The Tourism Dept. and experts score the projects based on scoring tables

The MA signs a project financing contract with the final beneficiary.
