Micro-gardening Scheme I.S. and CARE

F.1 Interclass Micro-Gardening Competition (IMC): Season 1 Date: From 11 Oct to 9 Dec (~ 2 months) Venue: Roof garden Format: Training workshops & Outing to e-Farm are provided. Participants will be allowed to use the facilities in the roof garden after-school. Class representatives: 3 – 6 students Assessment criteria include the following: daily performance of the class representatives conditions of the harvest

Stage 1 : Soil Preparation & Seedling (11 Oct) Sow 3 to 4 types of seeds into the organic soil

Stage 2 : Seed-growing (21 Oct) After 1 – 2 weeks Irrigate the seeds every non-rainy day

Stage 3 : Seeding-growing (9 Nov) Lettuce Bak choi After 2 – 3 weeks Irrigate the seedlings every non-rainy day Cut off unhealthy leaves and stems

Stage 4 : Plant-growing (23 Nov) After 2 weeks Irrigate the plants every non-rainy day Add organic fertilizer every two weeks Remove the grasses every two days

Stage 5 : Harvesting (9 Dec) After 2 weeks Enjoy the vegetables with your family!
