Every year different natural disasters happen on our planet..

They destroy cities and towns, injure people and animals.

Drought A drought is a long period of dry weather when there is not enough water.

Flood A flood is a large amount of water which covers a place that is usually dry land.

Earthquake An earthquake is a sudden shake of the Earth’s crust caused by the tectonic plates colliding.

Forest fire A forest fire is an uncontrolled fire burning in woodland areas.

Tornado A tornado is a violent wind in the form of a funnel of air that spins at great speed.

Tsunami A tsunami is a series of ocean waves that sends water, sometimes reaching heights of over 100 feet (30.5 meters), onto land.

Hurricane A hurricane is an extremely violent wind or storm.
