Background Agreement (NR-AdHoc3) NR studies a new set of sequences for short PUCCH and long PUCCH for UCI bits up to 2 For a fair comparison of at least length 12 NR CGS designs for PUCCH, the companies are encouraged to provide/re-evaluate their proposed sequences based on the following all or a subset of performance metrics Maximum PAPR/CM, minimum PAPR/CM, mean PAPR/CM (assuming at least 8x oversampling) Maximum cross-correlation Between the base sequences for new NR sequences by applying all CS values Between the base sequences for new NR and LTE sequences by applying all CS values (LTE CGS for 1 and 2 PRBs ,and ZC sequences for >2PRBs up to 100MHz bandwidth) considering all partial overlapping LTE CGS are used as the reference for performance comparison

Background This WF proposes a set of length-12 base sequences Key Properties Same alphabet as in LTE (i.e. QPSK) – low complexity implementation, proven waveform Lower PAPR / CM than LTE 1PRB CG sequence set Comparable cross-correlation within new NR CG set to LTE 1PRB CG sequence set Low cross-correlation with LTE 1PRB CG sequence set
