MY EXPEDITION 6th grade Unit 6 project

CHOOSE AN EXPEDITION WITH YOUR PARTNER Search NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPEDITIONS on Google or click on this link: http://www.nationalgeographicexpeditions.com/ Select a destination: Africa, Asia, Australia and the Pacific, Central America and Caribbean, Europe, Middle East, North America, South America, Polar Regions. Research available expeditions. Read about what activities they offer, where they take place, for how long, etc. Choose one of them and prepare a presentation about it in POWERPOINT with your partner. On the internet, look for more information about the place of the expedition, about its fauna (animals) and flora (plants), the weather, the equipment you need, etc.

PREPARE A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION The presentation is due Monday 10th April 2017 or Tuesday 11th April 2017 (depending on when our FIRST lesson is). The presentation should take between 3-5 minutes. Practice presenting your project at home. Do not read from your slides. Don’t mention the price of your expedition. It is not an important piece of information for the purposes of our project. Include pictures and interesting information! In your presentation, please answer following questions:

Which expedition did you choose Which expedition did you choose? Why is this expedition interesting for you?

Which part of the world will this expedition take place in?

What will you do on the expedition?

What animals can you see during this expedition? What plants grow there?

What do you have to take with you on this expedition?

DON’T Don’t copy text from the internet!!! If you use copied text in your presentation, you will have to remake it at home.

I’m looking forward to your amazing presentations! Good luck! 
