The Parable "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.“ Luke 14:11 “I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” Luke 18:14 “And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.” Matt.23:12

Old Testament “For You will save the humble people, But will bring down haughty looks.” Psalms 18:27 “Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, And before honor is humility.” Prov. 18:12 “A man's pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.” Prov. 29:23

New Testament Parable Applied “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Jas.4:6 “Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. True Humility Dependence on God “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.” Jer.10:23 Humility is a quality that when you discover that you have it, you don’t.
