The Poor Will Smit April 1st 2007

The poor

Orphans

Widows

Do we do what JESUS asked us to do?

1. Do we care? James 1:27(a) NIV Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress. Reading of Matthew 25:31-46

2) Do you really love JESUS 2) Do you really love JESUS? John 21:17 The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?"       Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you."     18Jesus said, "Feed my sheep”.

Matthew 22:37 NIV Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 3) Do you really love people? Mark 12:31 NIV The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.‘ There is no commandment greater than these." John 15:12 NIV My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

4) Do you tell people about JESUS 4) Do you tell people about JESUS? Mark 16:15-16 NIV    15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Captain of Our Lives

Mark 8:34-38 NIV 34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? 37 Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."
