For my kids

May the “Lord bless you and keep you May the “Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” – Numbers 6:24-26

Words of Wisdom for my Girls Your future does not lay in front of you… it lies deep within you. Life is not about finding yourself… it’s about creating yourself. When life becomes a rollercoaster, climb into the front seat, throw your arms in the air and enjoy the ride. Rise by lifting others. When life gets crazy, do something normal… and if life gets too normal, do something crazy. Always be nice. Life is all about how you handle Plan B. Practice the art of listening. Play with wild abandon no matter how old you get. Find the joy in all the choices you make. Remember, in the end, good girls always win. Never forget… I will love you forever, for always and no matter what.

“Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” – 1 Peter 3:3-4

Words of Wisdom for My Boys Rise by lifting others. Forgive everyone. Think big… if that doesn’t work, think bigger. It’s ok to build yourself a man cave, but use it sparingly. Life is all about how you handle Plan B… in the end it will be the true test of your character. Be nice. Play fair. There is nothing so strong as a man who can be tender, or so weak as a man who thinks he is tough. I gave you wings so I could watch you soar. So jump… even if you have to learn to fly on the way down. I always said one day I would have to let you go. I lied. I’m never letting go. And remember, I believe in you… Always have, always will. I think you are absolutely over the top amazing… don’t ever forget it.

“Be strong and courageous “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

They know me in a way no one ever has They know me in a way no one ever has. They open me to things I never knew existed. They drive me to insanity and push me to my depths. They are the beat of my heart, the pulse of my veins, and the energy in my soul. They are my kids.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” – 3 John 4

It was not by chance that I became your teacher It was not by chance that I became your teacher. God set it into motion over a year ago when He called me out of the classroom and into full-time ministry at the end of the 2013-2014 school year so that I would be in the right place at the right time to get the job teaching at HMS for the 2015-2016 school year.

Before I knew you, I prayed for you Before I knew you, I prayed for you. I prayed that you would be safe, that you would know kindness, that you would feel loved, and that you would learn while in my classroom. Little did I know that I would get all of those things from you. I thank God for each and everyone of you. A part of my heart will forever be yours for you will always be…

my kids.

“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” – Colossians 1:9-14
