A long time ago there was a beautiful girl named Medusa A long time ago there was a beautiful girl named Medusa. She have always said she was the most pretties girl in the world, and she was always bragging about how pretty she was. One day Medusa went to the Parthenon, a temple made for the goddess of wisdom, Athena. Every time Medusa saw a picture or a statue she would say that it would look better if it was her in the picture. "My this is a beautiful temple. It is a shame it is wasted on Athena for I am much prettier than she is, perhaps one day people will build an even grander temple to my beauty.“ The priestesses in the background heard what medusa said and the rumors started to spread. When everyone knew what was happening, lots of people started to leave because they knew that Athena was going to get mad. Soon the temple was empty and it was only medusa admiring her self in a reflection. Then the reflection turned in to Athena and she scolded Medusa because she took her beauty as an advantage. Then Athena turned Medusa in to a monster. Her hair and body turned in to snakes. "Are you happy for what I have done? Now anyone who looks in your eyes will now turn into stone and no one will be able to save them," snapped Athena, "Even you, Medusa, should you seek your reflection, will turn to rock the moment you see your face.“
