Beam tracking detectors MCP Beam tracking detectors Multi Channel Plate (MCP) • low energy loss • low efficiency Parallel Plate Avalanche Counter (PPAC) • 5 layers of foil • 100% up to 105pps Multi-Wire Proportional Chamber (MWPC) • low gas pressure • 2 layers of foil Ionization Chamber (IC) • suitable for high E beams • few hundreds Torr gas Diamond Detector • very strong against radiation damage • small active area PPAC MWPC

MWPC anode - prototype Bias voltage: ~1000 V 2.2 MΩ 2 mm pitch wires 16 channels

Results • 241Am a-emitting source tests • overloaded at ~600 V • various energy range
