Web Interface for Formatter Remote Connection to Formatter in Minutes!

About Web Interface V6.0 for Formatter is a software package that allows users to remotely access AH Formatter when it is running on an Internet server. It lets a client computer send an XML file and a stylesheet to an AH Formatter Server License and receive back a PDF document. It eliminates the need to undertake an expensive and complicated development effort. Web Interface V6.0 for Formatter equips Folder Monitoring Service that will allow you to obtain the conversion result only by throwing a target file into the specified folder and will notify you when the conversion finishes.

Benefits Simplified client access to AH Formatter Server License via the internet. Greatly reduced development time. Simplified support. Easily lets one AH Formatter Server license be used for multiple applications.

V6.0 Enhancements Linux support xdscmd changed to work similarly to AH Formatter command line client. Option to automatically upload images and media if the input is an FO file.

Limitations Unix versions of the Folder Monitor Service require the fuser utility to also be installed and available in the environment's executable search path. The files sent by clients are stored into a temporary directory which will increase file name lengths. Care should be given that the file names on the client do not approach the maximum file name length for the server's file system. The Folder Monitor Service uses Java's NIO FileWatcher library. The Linux version is based on inotify and does not have the ability to monitor file creation events on file systems like CIFS
