God of the universe and of our country South Africa; We pray that you claim your rightful place as the only ruler of our country. Take up your position on the throne of this land,

and make South Africa turn to your sovereignty and make South Africa turn to your sovereignty. May your glory fill our country. May your name be exalted. May you save your land from the tyranny of evil

We claim the victory, through our faith in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ; for this land, for your church, for all people.

Send out the light and truth of your gospel and bring people everywhere to know and love you. Enable those who minister among us to commend your truth by their example and teaching.

Sovereign God, Guide with your wisdom and power the leaders of this nation, so that everyone may live in peace and mutual trust, sharing with justice the resources of the earth.

Give the people of this land a spirit of unselfishness, compassion, and fairness in public and private life. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Give wisdom to those in authority Give wisdom to those in authority. We pray for our country, our President, the government, our local government; the police and those who administer our laws;

all who have responsibility; all men and women in their daily work; give to them a desire for righteousness and peace, with the will to work together in trust, to seek the common good.

that they may have the courage and wisdom to protect ALL the people of this country, in eliminating; corruption, abuse of power and other ungodly practices.
