Introduction to morphemes Etymology

What is a morpheme??? A small part of a word that has a meaning Prefixes Suffixes Affixes (root words)

Why are morphemes important??? These meaningful word parts are the building blocks for academic vocabulary that you will encounter in all of your classes. Knowing morphemes will help you to decipher the meaning for new words in all of your classes.
