You Need a Family, and Your Family Needs You! Acts 2:42-47

The Church “We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church.” Nicene Creed, 325

What is the “Church?”

The Church “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:18-19 “As the Father has sent me, so also do I send you.” John 20:21

Community “And they devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42

Comission “And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.” Acts 2:43

Communion “And all who believed were together, and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.” Acts 2:44-45

Consistency “And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts.” Acts 2:46

Acceleration “…praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Acts 2:47
