Characters This is Voldemort. He is a bad wizard. He killed Harry Potter’s parents and gave Harry Potter his lightning scar. He went to Hogwarts. He called himself Tom Riddle when he went to Hogwarts. This Is Voldemort as Tom Riddle.

Characters This is Hagrid. Hagrid takes care of the animals at Hogwarts. He is a giant. He is a friend to Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger.

Characters This is Draco Malfoy. He is a wizard. He goes to Hogwarts. He is very rich. He is very mean to Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger.

Chapter 1: The Worst Birthday

Harry Potter lives with his uncle, aunt, and cousin during the summer when he is not at Hogwarts. They are very mean to him. They tell Harry Potter that his pet owl is too loud.

Harry Potter is sad. It is his birthday Harry Potter is sad. It is his birthday. No one told him “Happy Birthday!”.

The uncle, aunt, and cousin of Harry Potter are busy talking about a very special dinner they are having at their house tonight. The dinner is important because it is about the job of Harry Potter’s uncle.

Chapter 2: Dobby’s Warning

Chapter 3: The Burrow

They see Hermione Granger and Hagrid when they are shopping for school supplies.

The friends go to a bookstore. Gilderoy Lockhart is there.

Gilderoy Lockhart notices Harry Potter because of his lightning bolt scar. He tells Harry Potter he will be his teacher at Hogwarts this year.

The students at Hogwarts want to learn about The Chamber of Secrets.

The students learn that a man important to Hogwarts did not like wizards who did not have magical parents.

He built The Chamber of Secrets to hold a monster that could get rid of these wizards, like Hermione Granger.

Chapter 10: The Rogue Bludger

Harry Potter and his team play Quidditch against Draco Malfoy and his team.

Harry Potter wins the game of Quidditch!

Harry Potter hurt his arm during the game.

Harry Potter has to sleep at the office of the school nurse.

Dobby visits Harry Potter Dobby visits Harry Potter. He tells Harry Potter to leave Hogwarts again.

Chapter 11: The Dueling Club

Harry Potter’s arm is better. He can go to class with his friends.

Chapter 13: The Very Secret Diary

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley find an old diary in one of the bathrooms in Hogwarts.

The diary belongs to Tom Riddle. Harry Potter keeps the diary.

One night, Harry Potter tries to write in the diary.

Tom Riddle tells Harry Potter that Hagrid might be the one doing the bad things to wizards without magical parents.

The friends are sad because Hagrid might be a bad man.

Chapter 14: Cornelius Fudge

One night Harry Potter cannot find Tom Riddle’s diary.

This makes Harry Potter sad.

Harry Potter and his team want to play a game of Quidditch.

They cannot play Quidditch because too many wizard students who do not have magical parents are getting sick.

Hermione Granger gets sick because she does not have magical parents.

Chapter 15: Aragog

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley want to learn more about The Chamber of Secrets.

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley go on an adventure to learn more about The Chamber of Secrets.

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley find out that Hagrid is not a bad man Harry Potter and Ron Weasley find out that Hagrid is not a bad man. Hagrid is a good man.

Chapter 16: The Chamber of Secrets

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley visit Hermione Granger when she is sick.

The voice Harry Potter hears in the hallways of Hogwarts belongs to the monster.

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley want to tell the teachers about the monster.

The teachers tell Harry Potter and Ron Weasley that Ginny Weasley is missing in The Chamber of Secrets.

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley enter the Chamber of Secrets to save Ginny Weasley.

In The Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley get split up.

Harry Potter meets Tom Riddle in the Chamber of Secrets.

Tom Riddle is a bad man. He is Voldemort.

The monster that can get rid of the wizards without magical parents belongs to Tom Riddle.
