Connective Learning Task Energy By Owen Kelly

What is energy? Energy is a source which we use indoors and outdoors. Energy comes in different form. For example electricity , chemical, sound and many more. Energy is in everything and is vital for life.

Why save energy? We save energy so that it may last us for a longer time. If we keep electronic appliances on it will build up and it will cost to much, so we save electricity to save money To prevent health hazards that may arise from using too much electricity.

What we did? First we gathered how many hours we left appliances on standby for. Then we found out how much watts the appliances used. From this information we were able to calcualte the total cost for the year if we paid yearly or monthly.

What we found? We found out that by paying monthly we could save money on our electricity bill. We also found out that leaving appliances on standby can be almost as costly as leaving it on.
