Fig. 1 T cells from the colon of BM→Tgϵ26 mice are potent CTLs. Redirected cytotoxic T cell assays were set up using colon T cells against 51Cr-labeled Fc-receptor positive P815 cells. Effector cells were incubated with targets at different effector to target (E:T) ratios in the presence or absence of anti-CD3 antibody and harvested after 6 hours. Killing in the absence of antibody was <5% maximum in all cases (not shown). Effectors cells comprised (A) IELs or (B) LPLs extracted from the colons of BM→Tgϵ26 mice (▴) or wt (C57BL/6 × CBA/J)F1 mice (●). Data are representative of at least five different assays.
